Shehnaaz Gill, who became a household name after Bigg Boss 13, recently shocked fans with an unusual revelation. During her appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote her Bollywood debut, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Shehnaaz disclosed that she once blocked Salman Khan’s number! Surprising, isn’t it?
Explaining the incident, Shehnaaz said, “When I received a call from an unknown number, I blocked it immediately. It’s a habit of mine.” At the time, she had no idea that the person calling was none other than Salman Khan, offering her a role in his film!
After receiving a message informing her that Salman Khan was trying to reach her, Shehnaaz decided to double-check. “I verified the number on Truecaller and was shocked to see it was Salman Khan!” she shared.
Realizing her error, Shehnaaz quickly unblocked his number and returned the call. Salman, in his trademark straightforward style, simply asked, “Do you want to do the film or not?” She said yes without hesitation, and the rest is history.
In Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Shehnaaz portrayed Sukoon, the love interest of Raghav Juyal’s character. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film featured an ensemble cast, including Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Siddharth Nigam, and Palak Tiwari.
This wasn’t the first time Salman Khan stood by Shehnaaz. At the trailer launch of the movie, she revealed that he encouraged her even when she faced rejection early in her career. “I was rejected during my first music video shoot, and it broke me. But my mom always said I’d act in a Salman Khan film one day. Sir gave me that chance and proved my mom right,” she said.
