Mumbai, April 7, 2025 – Manasi Ghosh has been declared the winner of Indian Idol Season 15, earning the coveted title after a season marked by intense competition and high-caliber musical performances. The finale, broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television, concluded with Ghosh receiving both the trophy and a ₹25 lakh cash prize.
Her victory came over two formidable contestants — Subhajit Chakraborty, who secured the first runner-up position, and Sneha Shankar, who stood as second runner-up.

Ghosh’s performances throughout the season were characterized by technical precision, emotional range, and artistic maturity. Her ability to interpret diverse genres and deliver consistently high-quality renditions earned her accolades from both the judges and the audience.
Notably, she previously finished second in Super Singer Season 3, signaling her growth and persistence in the competitive music circuit.
Speaking after her win, Manasi said the reality of the moment hadn’t fully sunk in. Her family was present during the finale, visibly emotional and overjoyed.

She said,
“I was blank at first, but so happy. My parents were crying. Life has changed in a good way. It’s a national platform, and I’ve received a lot of love and blessings from across India.”
Manasi revealed plans to use a part of her prize money to produce her own independent music, and also to buy a car to support her travel needs as a performing artist.
The finale was marked by appearances from industry figures including Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Mika Singh, alongside regular judges Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah. Hosted by Aditya Narayan, the episode emphasized both competitive merit and celebratory closure.

In a special segment during the finale, Ghosh’s parents joined her on stage, sharing personal anecdotes about her early musical journey and the financial challenges the family faced. They spoke of her determination and resilience, with her mother emotionally noting that, “Manasi always said she’d take care of everything one day — and she has.”
Winning Indian Idol is considered one of the most prestigious achievements in India’s non-film music space. Several past winners and finalists have gone on to establish successful careers in playback singing and independent music. With this victory, Manasi Ghosh now enters a league of artists whose careers were shaped on national television.
