After years of anticipation and numerous speculations, filmmaker Priyadarshan has officially confirmed that he will begin working on the script for Hera Pheri 3 next year. This exciting development brings a wave of joy to fans of the cult comedy franchise, which originally began with Hera Pheri (2000) and followed up with Phir Hera Pheri (2006). “I plan to start writing Hera Pheri 3 sometime next year. It is going to be a significant challenge because the audience has immense expectations. Making people laugh is the most difficult task, especially while maintaining clean and relatable humor,” he stated.
The director emphasized that humor evolves with time, and he aims to ensure the script remains relevant and engaging. “Characters have gotten older, and accordingly, their portrayal must be believable. The humor must be fresh while preserving the essence of what made the original films special,” he added.
The Iconic Cast’s Return
One of the biggest highlights of Hera Pheri 3 is the confirmed return of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal in their iconic roles as Raju, Shyam, and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, respectively.
