Gunaratna Sadavarte Removed from the Bigg Boss House for This Reason

Date:

Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte has exited the Bigg Boss 18 house as of October 14, 2023, due to ongoing legal issues. His departure coincides with his failure to attend an important court hearing that day, leading to the judges expressing their displeasure.

Sources close to the show indicate that while Sadavarte’s team is hopeful for his return, no final decision has been made by the producers. His exit will be featured in the episode airing on October 15.

During his time on Bigg Boss 18, Gunaratna gained popularity for his unique humor and engaging personality, earning appreciation from viewers and host Salman Khan alike. However, his absence from the court hearing regarding petitions against the Maratha reservation raised concerns in the legal community. The Bombay High Court had previously reprimanded him for prioritizing the reality show over his legal duties, questioning his commitment to the case.

Sadavarte and his wife, Jaishri Patil, filed a petition challenging the Maratha reservation, a significant legal issue in Maharashtra. The court began hearing arguments on this topic in June, and Sadavarte’s absence was perceived as a lack of seriousness regarding the matter. The Chief Justice expressed frustration at his choice to participate in a reality show instead of fulfilling his legal responsibilities.

The next hearing for this important case is scheduled for November 19, during which Advocate General Dr. Birendra Saraf will present the Maharashtra government’s position. The court has clarified that no arguments will be entertained from petitioners during this session, focusing solely on the government’s case.
