Who was Aanvi Kamdar?

Aanvi Kamdar, a 27-year-old social media influencer and chartered accountant, tragically lost her life in a devastating accident. Aanvi, known for her love of travel and engaging Instagram content, fell 300 feet from a hillock near Kumbhe waterfall while filming a reel. Despite a six-hour rescue operation, she was declared dead at the hospital. Aanvi’s death has left a deep space in the hearts of her family, friends, and 1.5 lakh Instagram followers, who adored her vivid vacation videos.

A Brief Look at Aanvi Kamdar’s Story

Aanvi Kamdar was not just a social media influencer; she was a talented chartered accountant with a promising career. Born and raised in Mumbai, Aanvi attended the Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School in Dadar. She pursued her B.Com and M.Com degrees from R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics in Matunga. Aanvi worked as an Associate Community Manager at LinkedIn for the past two years and was previously employed by Deloitte.

Her father, Sanjay Kamdar, passed away last year, and since then, she, her sister, and her mother were living together. It was a tough time for them, and she was helping her family to her level best and supporting them. Before her father’s death, they were living lavishly; however, post it, they had to get themselves a 1 BHK reportedly in Malad.

Kumbhe Waterfall Remembers

The tragic accident occurred when Aanvi and six friends visited the scenic Kumbhe waterfall. It was meant to be a day of adventure and fun, capturing moments for her Instagram followers. Unfortunately, the day turned fatal when Aanvi reportedly fell while filming a reel. The incident has since led to a flood of comments on social media, with many debating whether she was filming a reel at the time of her fall.

Social Media’s Reaction

Following Aanvi’s death, social media has become a war. Comments and posts debating whether she was filming a reel at the time of her fall are rampant. Some claim she was, while others argue against it. People are posting insensitive comments and judgments, seemingly oblivious to the pain and grief of Aanvi’s loved ones.

Is It Right to Troll Someone Who Has Passed Away?

Trolling someone who is no longer able to defend themselves is not just insulting, but horrible. The comments and reactions following Aanvi’s death lacked empathy and compassion. Her family and friends are grieving a great loss, and the last thing they want is for her memory to be tainted by internet hate.

Travel Responsibly and with Compassion

We can appreciate and remember Aanvi by raising an online community that is more empathetic and kind, and by making sure that her memory is one of positive. Additionally, this incident also stresses the need to travel responsibly. Never compromise safety for the ideal photo when exploring unfamiliar locations. To prevent mishaps, pay attention to your surroundings and use caution.

Responsible travel preserves the purity and beauty of the locations you visit in addition to keeping you safe. Allow Aanvi’s love of travel to encourage us to see the world with caution, decency, and a careful consideration for safety.
