After days of online debate over whether BLACKPINK’s Jennie copied Rani’s Theme from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Bollywood composer Pritam has finally spoken again. This time, he has doubled down on his stance, making it clear that minor similarities in music are normal and shouldn’t be considered plagiarism.

What Did Pritam Say?
Pritam took to Instagram once again to defend Jennie and K-pop artists, saying:

“Rani and Jennie are names that rhyme, so a similar flow in one phrase doesn’t make it a copy. In music, minor similarities are bound to happen—whether through rhymes, phrasing, or even within the same genre.”
He further emphasized that in today’s interconnected world, artists from different backgrounds are bound to share influences, making intentional plagiarism unlikely.

While some netizens agree with Pritam’s explanation, others aren’t buying it. Many still claim that the beats and rhythm in Jennie’s Like Jennie are too similar to be a coincidence. The discussion continues, but one thing is clear—Pritam stands firmly in Jennie’s corner.

So far, Jennie and her management have remained silent on the issue. With Pritam defending her again, will they finally address the allegations?
