Tabu recently opened up about her friendship with Ajay Devgn in a fun interview with a channel, and let me tell you, it was full of laughs and light-hearted jabs. As one of Bollywood’s most celebrated actresses, Tabu didn’t hold back when it came to discussing her relationship with Ajay. In fact, she humorously pointed out that he always tries to “badmouth” her.
Their friendship goes way back, almost three decades, since their first film together, Vijaypath. Now, they are gearing up for their tenth collaboration in the upcoming film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. Tabu jokingly remarked, “Will you ask me about my friendship with Ajay? Because if I speak about it one more time, he’ll break my friendship with me!” You can just feel the playful tension in that statement.
Tabu didn’t stop there. She described Ajay as a “silent bully.” According to her, he had a knack for protecting her from unwanted attention in a rather amusing way. She shared stories of how he would deal with boys who dared to approach her, saying, “He’s a silent bully. People will never come to know that he has any such plan up his sleeves. He has a very quiet and sweet way of ragging people.” Sounds like classic Ajay.
When it came to the topic of gossip, Tabu had some strong words. She addressed Ajay’s claim that she has a treasure trove of Bollywood gossip, and she didn’t shy away from defending herself. “No, that’s wrong. He’s just ‘badnamofying’ me,” she asserted, clarifying that it’s actually Ajay who often asks her for the latest scoop. “I don’t have information about anyone in the film industry. I don’t have enough information about myself even!”
Tabu also shared her views on age in the industry. She stated she’s not interested in playing roles meant for a 30-year-old anymore, emphasizing, “I’ve no option but to embrace my age.”
