The murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique has taken a disturbing turn, with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang openly claiming responsibility for the killing. In a Facebook post made public on Sunday, the gang admitted to the assassination, which occurred outside Siddique’s Bandra office in Mumbai on Saturday night.
According to the gang’s statement, Siddique was targeted due to his alleged close ties with Bollywood, particularly with Salman Khan, and his supposed connections to underworld figures like Dawood Ibrahim. The gang also cited revenge as a motive, stating that one of their members, who had been implicated in the 2024 firing case at Salman Khan’s residence, died in police custody under circumstances they described as suspicious.
The post contained the following message: “Om, Jai Shri Ram, Jai Bharat. I understand the essence of life and consider wealth and the body as dust. I did only what was right, honouring the duty of friendship.” The gang accused Salman Khan of provoking this chain of events, writing, “Salman Khan, we did not want this war, but you made our brother lose his life. Today, the chapter of Baba Siddique’s decency is closed, or at one point, he was under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) with Dawood.”
This shocking news has caused Mumbai police to investigate the authenticity of the post as part of their wider investigation into Siddique’s murder.
Salman Khan, a figure at the center of this controversy, has faced repeated threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Earlier this year, in April 2024, the actor and his family narrowly escaped an attack at their Mumbai residence, which led to heightened security around the star. The feud between the actor and the gang shows no sign of abating, keeping authorities on high alert.
The assassination of Baba Siddique and the public confession by the Bishnoi gang have sent shockwaves through both political and entertainment circles. The connection between crime incidents, Bollywood, and politics continues to fuel speculation, as the country watches closely for more developments.
