Nancy Tyagi Sewing Her Dreams

Date:

The DIY Queen of Cannes

Nancy Tyagi has captured the hearts of many with her second self-designed outfit for the Cannes Film Festival. The influencer dazzled in a stunning saree and backless blouse, continuing to impress the world with her unique fashion sense and DIY skills.

Nancy Tyagi, originally from Delhi, initially made headlines with her debut at the Cannes Film Festival, when she walked the red carpet in a gown she designed herself. This time, she astonished the French Riviera with another self-designed masterpiece—a caped saree precisely constructed for this distinguished occasion.

Nancy’s debut at the 77th Cannes Film Festival was marked by a breathtaking pink gown that she designed and sewed herself. Using over 1,000 meters of fabric and weighing more than 20 kilograms, the gown took her a month to create. This creation garnered widespread admiration, not only from her followers but also from celebrities like Sonam Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.

On Monday, Nancy revealed her second look for Cannes, posting a video clip on her social media. She donned a lavender-colored, heavily embroidered cape saree to a special event hosted by Brut during the festival. In her caption, Nancy shared, “My second outfit from the Cannes Film Festival is another creation made entirely by me. This saree features intricate hand embroidery. Every piece was meticulously crafted and assembled by me.”

Nancy’s lavender saree was a work of art, adorned with intricate bead, sequin, and thread embroidery in a floral pattern. Known for her ability to recreate iconic looks, she sourced the fabric from a local store in Delhi. Her unique draping technique was on display in the saree, which featured a low-rise waistline, a side slit, a floor-sweeping train, and a cascading pallu.

Nancy Tyagi’s rise to fame is nothing short of remarkable . Born in a hamlet in Uttar Pradesh, she moved to Delhi with her family in search of better opportunities. Initially, her dreams of a fashion career were greeted with skepticism from neighbors and relatives who believed the money spent on her career would be better used for her marriage.

Despite these obstacles, Nancy’s enthusiasm for fashion grew even stronger. Nancy’s road to the Cannes red carpet was not without hurdles. Early in her career, she received scathing criticism for her videos, with some calling her ‘too tiny’ and her material ‘cringe.’ Despite this, Nancy continued to refine her abilities, creating a series of films called ‘Outfit from Scratch,’ in which she replicated celebrity ensembles with astonishing accuracy.
