Bollywood might be all about grand love stories and perfect endings on screen, but when it comes to real life, things can get a little more complicated. Some of our favorite actors have experienced love, heartbreak, and second chances — all while being in the public eye. And guess what? They didn’t stop at just one marriage.

Let’s talk about 8 Bollywood stars who didn’t just stop at one marriage. These celebs have had their fair share of love, heartbreak, and second (or third) chances. Their stories are just as dramatic as what we see on screen, and we’re here to get into the real deal behind those marriages.
8 BOLLYWOOD STARS
Sanjay Dutt
Sanjay Dutt’s life could honestly be straight out of a Bollywood movie, i mean it has got everything may it be drama, loss, redemption, and love. No surprise they made Sanju about him, where Ranbir Kapoor played Dutt. The film focused on his struggles with addiction, jail time, and his crazy ups and downs, but it didn’t go too deep into his love life.

Sanjay’s first marriage to Richa Sharma in 1987 ended tragically when she passed away in 1996 due to a brain tumor. A couple of years later, in 1998, Sanjay married model Rhea Pillai, but things didn’t last long, and they parted ways in 2005.

Then came Manyata Dutt in 2008, and since then, the two have been going strong. Sanjay’s story shows that sometimes love doesn’t come easy, but when it’s right, it sticks.
Dharmendra

Dharmendra, one of Bollywood’s legendary stars, found himself in a bit of a pickle when it came to love. He married Prakash Kaur way back in 1954, but in the late 1970s, love struck again when he met Hema Malini on the set of Sholay. Instead of going for a divorce, Dharmendra decided to convert to Islam and marry Hema in 1980, keeping both marriages intact. Yep, you read that right—two wives, no divorce.

Kishor Kumar
Kishore Kumar walked down the aisle four times! His first marriage to Ruma Guha Thakurta in 1950 ended in divorce, but that was just the beginning. In 1960, Kishore married the iconic Madhubala, but their relationship was cut short when she passed away in 1969.

He went on to marry Yogeeta Bali in 1976, but it didn’t last long, and by 1980, he had married actress Leena Chandavarkar.
Karan Singh Grover

If there’s one actor who isn’t afraid to give love another shot, it’s Karan Singh Grover. Karan’s first marriage to TV actress Shraddha Nigam was short-lived, lasting less than a year. He tried again with Jennifer Winget in 2012, but that also ended in divorce just two years later.

However, it seems the third time’s the charm for Karan, as he found his soulmate in Bollywood star Bipasha Basu. They married each other in 2016 and the two often share their adorable ‘Monkey Love’ moments on social media.

Kabir Bedi

Kabir Bedi’s has been married four times, and each marriage came with its own story. His first marriage to Protima Bedi, an acclaimed dancer, ended in separation. Kabir later married British fashion designer Susan Humphreys, but that didn’t last either.
His third marriage to Nikki Bedi was another chapter that ended in divorce. In 2016, he married Parveen Dusanj, and the couple seems to have found lasting happiness together.
Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan, the charming Nawab of Bollywood, first married actress Amrita Singh in 1991, and their marriage lasted until 2004. They have two children together.

Saif’s love life took a new turn when he fell for Kareena Kapoor, and the two tied the knot. The two married in 2012, and their relationship has become one of Bollywood’s most talked-about romances.

Amir Khan

Aamir Khan, one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars, has had his share of ups and downs in love. He first married Reena Dutta in 1986, and their union lasted for 15 years before they divorced in 2002. Aamir later married Kiran Rao in 2005, and they welcomed a son together.

Their marriage was often viewed as a modern love story, but they announced their separation in 2021 after 15 years of marriage. Despite their split, Aamir and Kiran have maintained a close friendship.
Mahesh Bhatt

Mahesh Bhaff known for his bold storytelling, has also experienced love in various forms. He first married Lorraine Bright (later known as Kiran Bhatt) in 1970, but their marriage eventually ended. Mahesh later found love with actress Soni Razdan, whom he married in 1986. Together, they have two daughters, one of them being actress Alia Bhatt.

Love in Bollywood isn’t always straightforward, and it doesn’t always follow the fairy-tale endings we see in the movies.

What matters in the end? Finding the person you’re meant to be with, no matter how many times you’ve said “I do.”
